Good luck, Mister President

          On January 20th, 2021, Joe Biden was sworn in as the new US President. Aged 78, and with his 78 years of experience, he opens the government to minorities, to women as to men, to old and young. Let us enjoy. Kamala Harris, Vice-President, first woman in that post; she is the daughter of a Jamaican-born economist and of a biologist from India, she is a Senator and Attorney General. Lady Gaga, an Italian immigrant’s grand-daughter, has a Franco-Canadian mother. She is a famous musician; she offered the US national anthem* at Joe Biden’s inauguration. Touching and hopeful.

Bonne chance, Monsieur le Président

Le 20 janvier 2021, Joe Biden, nouveau Président des Etats-Unis, est entré en fonction. Agé de 78 ans, et fort de ses 78 années d’expériences, il ouvre le gouvernement aux minorités, aux femmes comme aux hommes, aux vieux et aux jeunes. Ne boudons pas notre plaisir. Kamala Harris, Vice-Présidente, première femme à ce poste, est la fille d’un économiste d’origine jamaïcaine et d’une biologiste originaire d’Inde ; elle est sénatrice et procureure générale. Lady Gaga est la petite-fille d’un immigré italien, et de mère franco-canadienne.  Artiste de grande notoriété, elle a chanté l’hymne américain* à la cérémonie d’investiture de Joe Biden. Touchantes et porteuses d’espoir.
